In December 2012 Palgrave MacMillan approached SF-Fandom and asked if we would be interested in sharing 5 copies of two recently published books. We shared some basic information about the books in our forum:

Since BookBug published those announcements we have gotten busy and, frankly, some members of the staff fell ill. So a lot of things were placed on the backburner. Nonetheless, a decision was made to run the contest through Xenite.Org. Since Xenite has a Middle-earth blog we felt that was the best platform for the contest.
