Seeker Fans Plotting 24-hour Tweetathon for Nov 1

Calling all fans of Legend of the Seeker! Led by the Save Our Seeker campaign, fans at the Legend of the Seeker forums have been organizing a 24-hour Tweetathon for November 1, 2011 to celebrate the first season premier date of the syndicated TV show.

Legend of the Seeker was broadcast for 2 season on syndicated markets but when the Tribune Company filed for bankruptcy in early 2010 it pulled out of its syndication contract, taking 1/3 of the Seeker’s market with it. The show remained popular in other markets but was unable to generate enough advertising revenue to keep going. Efforts to find a new home on a cable network proved fruitless.

Fans of Legend of the Seeker have continued to support author Terry Goodkind, whose Sword of Truth novels have served as the basis for the popular TV show.

The 24-hour Tweetathon is looking for peak participation between the hours of 12 Noon and 2PM Eastern Time (Washington D.C., New York, Miami, etc.).

If you have been inactive on Twitter, now would be a good time to log in and check on your account status.

The Xenite.Org network will support the Tweetathon (as much as possible) through its Seekerfans, Xenite.Org, and SF Fandom Twitter accounts.

See you in the Tweets!
