Xena Online Resources is Back Online Again

The old Xena Online Resources directory required too much time and effort to maintain so when I took down Xenite.Org in June after realizing that most of the site was no longer functioning, I debated for a long time whether to try to salvage Xena Online Resources. For more than ten years it has been one of the most popular sections of Xenite.Org, as there are still hundreds of Hercules and Xena Websites out there.

Unfortunately, we just don’t have time to work on a directory any more. So the directory has been in limbo for a couple of months.

But I finally realized that Google’s Custom Search Engine offers a solution that is easy to implement and relatively low maintenance. So I have now brought Xena Online Resources back on a sub-domain (http://xena.xenite.org/) and as a custom search engine. It will take time to add back all the sites that XOR used to index but the major ones are in there.

With another Xena convention scheduled for January 2012 (and it looks like just about everyone who was anyone with the shows will be there), it makes sense to try to keep the Xenite online fandom connected with up-to-date information.
