Status Update on SF-Fandom and Xenite.Org

At this time we are unable to receive email. We are working on the problem but once you have set up and configured a complex system finding the one (or two) little things that are wrong can take a long time. In fact, we’re also seeing that birthday notices are not going out to our members.

The email misconfiguration affects our ability to support the Web forums. We don’t have an estimate of how long this will take to resolve as we’re doing this in our spare time.

We have conferred with our hosting provider and short of paying them a steep hourly fee we are proceeding as best we can down that path.

Unfortunately, the transition from a much older version of Fedora to the current version of CentOS (combined with a very different Webmin interface from what we’re used to ) is much more jarring than we anticipated.

We apologize for the inconvenience to all our forum members and especially to people who have been attempting to send email to us. Our test messages from other services are not bouncing so we’re hopeful that all the email is queued up somewhere waiting to be delivered (the alternative is that the email since April 15 has simply been discarded).
